Three unidentified assailants on motorcycles fired over two dozen rounds outside the Gurugram residence of YouTuber and reality TV star Elvish Yadav on the morning of Sunday, August 17, 2025. Fortunately, Yadav was not present at his home during the attack, which occurred around 5:30 a.m., although some of his family members were inside. No injuries have been reported.
Details of the Incident
The attack took place at Yadav’s house in Gurugram’s Sector 57. CCTV footage captured three masked individuals, with two of them clearly visible, firing multiple shots. The bullets struck the ground and first floors of the house, leaving behind bullet marks on doors, windows, and the ceiling. Yadav’s father, Ram Avtar Yadav, confirmed that his son had not received any prior threats before the incident. Following the attack, the police arrived at the scene to collect forensic evidence and are currently reviewing the CCTV footage to identify the attackers. An FIR will be filed shortly based on the family’s complaint.
Gang Claims Responsibility
In a shocking development, a social media post surfaced in which the notorious Himanshu Bhau gang claimed responsibility for the firing. According to the post, the attack was a warning to Yadav, accusing him of promoting a betting app that has “destroyed many households.” The gang, which has been active since 2020 and is known for extortion and violent crimes across the Delhi-NCR region, has a history of targeting business owners and public figures. The leader, Himanshu Bhau, is a wanted figure, believed to have fled to the United States.
This incident marks another controversial chapter in Yadav’s public life, who rose to fame after winning Bigg Boss OTT 2. He has been embroiled in legal issues, including a high-profile case involving the alleged use of snake venom at rave parties. The Supreme Court has recently stayed the trial court proceedings in that case.
