The injured, totaling 47 including outpatients, are currently receiving free treatment as per the Chief Minister’s directives.
“Such a tragedy shouldn’t have happened,” lamented Karnataka CM Siddaramaiah after visiting the hospitals. Expressing profound grief over the incident, he announced a compensation of ₹10 lakh for the kin of each deceased individual and ordered a magisterial inquiry into the events that led to the stampede. “Action will be taken if anyone is found wrong,” he affirmed, indicating a commitment to accountability.
