The news was first reported on social media by journalist Vickey Lalwani, who stated, “I can confirm that she was brought dead to Bellevue Multispeciality hospital (opposite Star Bazaar Andheri) about 45 minutes prior to this post.” According to reports from the hospital reception staff, Shefali was declared “brought dead” upon arrival at Bellevue Multispeciality Hospital late on Friday, June 27. She was reportedly rushed to the hospital by her husband, actor Parag Tyagi, along with three others, after being found unresponsive at her residence in Mumbai’s Andheri area.
Mumbai Police have initiated a preliminary investigation into her death. A police team and forensic experts visited her residence in the early hours of Saturday morning to gather evidence. While no foul play has been officially indicated at this stage, the police have stated that the exact cause of death is not yet clear and will only be determined after the postmortem report is released.
